PJ Harvey, Sigur Rós, Tame Impala also among over 150 acts performing.
Radiohead will perform at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Music Festival this June on the first date of an expected international tour in support of the band’s forthcoming untitled album. Radiohead will also play Switzerland’s OpenAir St. Gallen Festival (June 30-July 3) and Portugal’s NOS Alive Festival (July 7-9) with a North American tour expected in 2016.
LCD Soundsystem will appear at Primavera Sound for the band’s second announced date after reuniting at Coachella, and Brian Wilson will perform at Primavera as part of his Pet Sounds “50th Anniversary and Performance in its Entirety” tour.
PJ Harvey, Tame Impala, Sigur Rós, Air, The Last Shadow Puppets, and Suede are other major artists announced for the June 1-4 Barcelona fest, which will feature more than 150 acts in total performing at the city’s cosmopolitan Rabal neighborhood, as well as on the main stages at the Forum festival grounds.
An announcement from Primavera Sound this morning (Jan. 21) also highlighted hip-hop artists Pusha T, Action Bronson, Vince Staples and Freddie Gibbs.
Dance music and electronic artists will include Germany’s Moderat, presenting a new album; the live rendition of “Elaenia” by Floating Points, and DJs Maceo Plex, DJ Koze and Hudson Mohawke.
Evian Christ, Nine Inch Nails’ Alessandro Cortini, Holly Herndon, DâM-FunK and Cabaret Voltaire are also on the bill.
Barcelona-based artists performing at Primavera Sound will include pop group Manel and singer-songwriter Joana Serrat.
