In just one day of release, the new film in the series Star Wars, VII Episode: Awakening of the Force, surpassed the 100 million mark-raising dollars in US cinemas. Early estimates realize that the seventh episode of the saga grossed 120 million at the box office. The previous record belonged to the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part II, with 91 million dollars.
On Saturday, Disney revealed the amount of $ 250 million at worldwide box offices hoarded until Friday. Outside the United States, the United Kingdom leads the revenues (24.7 million), followed by Germany (12.7 million) and France (11.1 million). The overall revenue record in first weekend of exhibition week is Jurassic World (316 million dollars)
The Force Wake must also sell 220 million worth of tickets in the US and Canada until Sunday, beating the record of 208.8 million dollars achieved by Jurassic World in June.
