Nero is at the tip of everyone’s tongue, with Between II Worlds expected to be released in early September and a newly announced North American tour underway, the UK trio have a lot up their sleeves. Leading up to the release of the record, Nero has everyone on the edge of their seats, so just before the chaos of their new album’s release and impending tour ensues, Nero is offering a little mini-mix based on the outfit’s other, perhaps lesser known inspirations.

Rounding together a few clips from iconic film soundtracks, Nero put together a short mix for Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, including a few of their favorite movie tunes. Blending pieces of Steppenwolf’s “Born To Be Wild” with a classic Tarantino riff, rap spits from 8 Mile with unforgettable Whitney Houston lyrics, and some intergalactic funk cropped from the Star Wars soundtrack, Nero cruise through a handful of their favorite movie tunes in a short, sweet, ode to the movies.
