From bedroom business to global brand, Big Beat Records celebrates a special anniversary.
Atlantic Records’ subsidiary Big Beat Records is celebrating its fifth anniversary since its dance-centric re-launch in 2010.
The imprint, initially launched in 1987 by Atlantic’s current Chairman & CEO Craig Kallman, has earned its place in the ever-evolving dance and electronic market thanks to their pioneering artists who continue to break sonic boundaries.
Industry titans David Guetta and Skrillex, along with flourishing acts like Galantis, Chromeo and Cash Cash, have helped pave the way for Big Beat’s spearheading quest.
In honor of their anniversary, Billboard is premiering Tarro’s Big Beat 5th Anniversary Remix of Cash Cash’s smash record, “Take Me Home.” Listen below:
The West Coast producer strips the single of its air-pumped jubilant chorus and creatively swaps it with an eclectic mixture of future bass chords and chiptune accents. The remix is one of four exclusive tracks that can be found on 5 Years of Big Beat, the label’s upcoming 24-track compilation that arrives on Jan. 15.
